Breaking 2012 News

I haven't posted in a while (not that anyone other than my wife ever reads this blog), but I thought I would comment quickly on this story. Not that it's a surprise, but it appears Mitt Romney will announce the formation of his exploratory committee in early April. Absent something drastic and unforeseen, I will be supporting Romney for the Republican nomination. I'll take some time over the next few posts to explain why and to attempt to combat some of the oft-heard criticisms of Romney as a candidate. I will start simply by stating that my support for Mitt Romney has very little to do with the fact that he is a Mormon. I would be lying if I said that I wasn't excited about the prospect of a Mormon President. However, I support Romney, the candidate, becuase I think that, out of the field currently out there, he would do the best job and has the best chance of winning. My supporting arguments have nothing to do with his religion. After all, I am (to say the least) not a big fan of the Mormon Senate Majority Leader.
